DOHA, Qatar - Bahamian competitors at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Athletics (WCA) here embraced the heavy responsibility of lifting the bruised spirits in their storm-battered homeland and the global track and field fraternity rallied alongside them.

Germantown, MD - The NC Courage fell to the Washington Spirit 2-1 in their final road game of 2019 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Germantown, MD on Saturday Night. Lynn Williams recorded her 50th NWSL goal but her strike was not enough for the visitors to come away with a win despite a dominant performance.

The clinic is offered free of charge and provides an opportunity for adults with physical disabilities to come out and try the fun, easy-to-learn adaptive sport of “para-badminton.”

DOHA, Qatar - Florida-based teenage sprint star Briana Williams withdrew from Jamaica’s team at the IAAF World Athletics Championships (WCA), which began here late last month, despite being cleared to compete after failing a doping test.

SAINT PAUL, Minn.-- They left it till nearly the last minute, but the Loons defeated the visiting Sporting Kansas City 2-1 and clinched the club’s first-ever playoff berth. Sporting KC came to Allianz Field with a similar game plan as many of those who have threatened to take points from the Loons – defend in a deep block and hit on the counterattack with pace. The strategy almost paid off for the visitors as a first half goal from Botond Baráth inside of six minutes stood until the 71st minute when Osvaldo Alonso finally broke through the SKC resistance. Heading into the 90th minute, both sides threatened with multiple chances to win the game but it was Hassani Dotson who came to the rescue for Minnesota United. A deflected shot bounced past the outstretched hands of Tim Melia to give the Loons a very late victory that clinched their first-ever playoff berth.

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Courage return to action after the FIFA break to play Sky Blue FC in Piscataway, New Jersey on Saturday, September 7 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The NC Courage are in second place in the NWSL with two games in hand.

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Courage earned an important three points in a 2-1 win over Sky Blue FC this afternoon. Crystal Dunn had the game-winning goal in the 57th minute with an assist by Kristen Hamilton. The win was the team’s 10th of the season.
