Nominees for Jamaica National Civil Honours & Awards 2020

Nominations are being accepted for the Jamaica National Honours and Awards for 2020.  The nomination forms and guidelines are available online through the Chancery of the Orders of the Societies of Honour, Office of the Prime Minister, (www.opm.gov.jm) or through the overseas locations of the Jamaican Foreign Missions. 

Bahamas Benefit Concert at the Amphitheather at Miramar Regional Park

MIRAMAR, FL  – Due to the overwhelming artist demand to help the Bahamas, the City of Miramar has decided to push the date of the Bahamas Benefit Concert to early 2020 to accommodate more artists in the lineup. The Bahamas Benefit Concert was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at the Amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park to aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts for the islands of the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian over a month ago.

PORT OF SPAIN, – Caribbean Airlines confirms that flight BW 526 bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York from Guyana, diverted to Nassau, Bahamas due to a mechanical issue with one of its engines.

Opening Ceremony for Global Warming and Peace Mural Art Exhibit

The Center is seeking a variety of performing artists – buskers, roving artists, acrobats, magicians, poets and entertainers of all kinds – to showcase their talents for guests on and around the Arsht Center campus.
