An avid reader, a lover of Caribbean literature, Trinidad and Tobago-born and raised Marsha Massiah, brought her passion for the stories of the region with her when she migrated to the United States. These stories served as her voice, helping to ground her in this new environment called Brooklyn, New York.

A voice for Caribbean health professionals in the United Kingdom, the Caribbean Nurses & Midwives Association UK (CNMA) officially started in January 2021. Marsha Jones, Maurina Baron, Jacqueline Gabriel-King, and Paulette Lewis, MBE came together with one purpose — driving change to improvement of health & social care, education, workforce and policy development for the nurses and midwives from the Caribbean coming into the National Health Service (NHS) system.
Diego Barnett, a novel climate change activist and Chemical Engineering student at the University of Toronto, is passionate about developing sustainable and energy efficient water technology. He graduated from Queen’s College Guyana in 2019 with an Associate Degree in Natural Sciences and received a national award for his impeccable performance at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination. Subsequently, he was employed by Guyana Water Incorporated as a Quality Analyst. During this time, he performed microbiological and chemistry-based tests on water samples to ascertain their compliance with the World Health Organization’s Guidelines for Drinking-Water Quality.
This is Jamaica Inc. a Florida Non-Profit organization whose mission is “Empower the Children of Jamaica to Restore and Preserve Their Culture Through Poetry and The Creative Arts”, provides scholarships through video rendition challenges of “This is Jamaica”, a poem written by Poet and founder of This is Jamaica, Mr. Peter Gracey.
