The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival at Baha Mar Returns This October

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Following the tremendous success of the inaugural celebration, Baha Mar announces the return of The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival, from October 27 to October 29, 2023. The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival showcases the best in culinary and artistic expression headlined by world-renowned chef talent including Marcus Samuelsson of Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, Katsuya Uechi of Katsuya, and Dario Cecchini of Carna. Baha Mar’s chefs will be joined by Bahamian celebrity chef, Chef Simeon Hall Jr., Food Network stars Amanda Freitag, Carla Hall, Geoffrey Zakarian, Scott Conant, and Michelle Bernstein, as well as social media star and chef Eitan Bernath. Also in attendance will be the country's foremost spirits expert and author Noah Rothbaum, wine experts Ted Diamantis, Fernando Beteta and Ken Fredrickson, the team behind the award-winning Broken Shaker bar and sponsors from Antinori Wines. This year’s festival will also feature a show-stopping musical performance, to be announced in the coming weeks.

CHTA Announces the Return of CHIEF to Miami This Year

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced the return of the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF), to be held November 29 to December 1, 2023, at the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon.

Re-Tooling For Resilience: 2023 Saint Lucia Showcase North America Strengthens Tourism Sector

CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA – Highlighting Saint Lucia’s commitment to strengthening the tourism sector for both sellers and buyers, the 2023 Showcase North America conference was hosted at Sandals Grands St. Lucian from July 6-10. The event brought together the destination’s key travel industry organizations along with wholesale and tour operator partners from the U.S. and Canada. Delegates – including 26 buyers from North America and – met one-on-one with 33 Saint Lucia sellers from local tourism and accommodations sector, including villas, Destination Management Companies and attractions.

Barbados Temporarily Reduces Airport Service Charge

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – In an effort to increase regional travel to the Island, the government has reduced the airport service charge from $35 United States dollars to $20 United States dollars, a statement from the Government Information Service here said.
