KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica's government is urging local manufacturers and artisans to seize the opportunity to participate in the annual Christmas in July event, saying it provides a valuable platform for small and medium-sized entities to display their locally made gifts and souvenir items to various market segments.

Bartlett: Resilient Tourism Critical to Sector’s Contribution to Economy

WASHINGTON, DC - Jamaica’s Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has warned that despite tourism being one of the most significant contributors to global output – providing jobs, incomes and livelihoods for millions of people – the sector remains susceptible to external shocks and crises, such as natural disasters, economic downturns, and pandemics.
