Team Dlimers Return For More Than Pink Walk Reunion

Miami, Florida - In celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary of life and survival, Team DLIMERS captains Marlon and Carla Hill have sounded the call for a DLIMERS REUNION at the annual Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 8 am at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah. 

South Dade Alphas Encourage Vote-by-Mail Registration

Recent changes to Florida’s election laws require voters to renew their application for vote-by-mail ballots each election cycle. Supervisors of Elections and community advocacy groups across the state are educating voters on this significant change in election law.

Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and community volunteers made nearly 600 calls to voters in South Dade to inform residents about changes to state election laws.

Virgin Galactic Announces Crew for First Private Astronaut Mission

Today, Virgin Galactic announced that the first Private Astronaut Mission, ‘Galactic 02,’ will be crewed by Jon Goodwin, an 80-year-old, Olympian and early Virgin Galactic ticket holder, as well as Keisha Schahaff and Anastatia Mayers, a Caribbean mother-daughter duo who won their seats in a sweepstakes that raised funds for non-profit Space for Humanity.

The Children’s Trust 15th Family Expo Returns This Summer, Featuring New Indoor Venues and Ride-Sharing Service for Attendees
