Dominica Celebrates 43rd Anniversary of Independence

ROSEAU, Dominica – Dominica is celebrating its 43rd anniversary of political independence from Britain on Wednesday with the activities to mark the occasion severely curtailed as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) that has killed 32 people and infected 4, 823 since March last year.

Belize's PM Briceno Pleased With Major Drug Bust Last Weekend

BELMOPAN, Belize – Prime Minister John Briceño says the arrest and charges laid against four police officers in relation to the seizure of an aircraft laden with illegal drugs, will help to win back the trust of the public, and underscore his administration’s determination to root out crime, even when high level officials may be implicated.

Jamaica Relaxes Some COVID-19 Restrictions

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica government has announced a relaxation of some of the measures put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) that has killed 2,184 people and infected 88, 480 since March last year.

Jamaica’s Ambassador Lauds St. George's Society of New York

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States Her Excellency Audrey Marks has lauded the St. George's Society of New York for its donation of some 400 scholarships valued at one million US dollars to students of Commonwealth heritage throughout New York’s City University system.
