Taste Bits of Jamaica in New York This Weekend!!

New York, New York -Unique Weddings & Tours (UW&T), supported by The Jamaica Tourist Board will be hosting a most exciting and scintillating cultural event, Taste Bits of Jamaica – a unique and intimate showcase of Jamaica’s culture inclusive of her food, fashion, music and art to be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Brooklyn Commons (Rooftop), 495 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225.  Now in its fifth year the annual staging of this rich Jamaican cultural experience is designed to cement Destination Jamaica in the hearts and minds of New Yorkers, particularly Brooklynites.

Miramar, FL – Having canceled the 2021 staging of the annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers of have modified plans and developed an alternative event to connect with supporters and still celebrate Jamaican food, music and culture in a smaller controlled atmosphere.

Caribbean Warned Vulnerability to Food Production is Stark

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – A senior official of the Guyana-based Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat has warned that the current vulnerability of the food production in the region is stark, as collectively the Caribbean continues to be buffeted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the ravages of climate change, pests and plant borne diseases and other associated maladies but there are indeed opportunities.

GK Foods Shows Jamaican Nurses “We Care

Kingston Jamaica - GraceKennedy (GK) Foods has been showing Jamaican nurses that ‘We Care’ through a series of initiatives recognizing their sterling contribution to the nation’s COVID-19 response. The activities were executed by Grace Foods under the theme ‘Taste that Moves You to Care’ theme between August 30 and September 17 and included donations of Grace products valued at over J$1.35 million to nurses working in Jamaica’s public health sector.
