The officials will admit there is a lead crisis in the drinking water, in certain parts of the city in Newark New Jersey. This story appears to be similar to the one in Flint, because the city’s officials are in denial about the lead levels in the drinking water. Testing suggest Newark has some of the highest tap water lead levels of any large US city.

With the first African American President, Black businesses in every major city, and Black political officials in federal, state, and local municipalities, diversity is a reality. With all these achievements in one of the greatest countries in the world, there is a major divide.

Most Democrats and Liberals do not want to be called a racist. They are comfortable calling President Trump and many of his Republicans’ supporters’ racists.  Most White people do not believe they are racist, but the majority in their neighborhood is White.

In America in 2019, there is something fundamentally frightening about leaving your home, because you are not sure you will return. You can be on the way to the park, the supermarket or the movies, and you may meet up with a crazy man dressed in body armor, and an assault rifle.

Orlando is a beautiful place to live, but only if you can afford some of the highest rents in the country. “In other words, thanks to inaction on local and federal levels, Orlando’s affordable housing crisis is about to get a lot worse before it gets any better,” says Colin Wolf – blogger for the Orlando Weekly.

The Trump administration’s recently issued regulation that broadens the definition of “public charge” is another hateful attempt to exclude low-income, working-class immigrants of color.  The administration’s animus against immigrants of color is hidden in plain sight. 

In 2019, and 2020, African Americans have the capacity and ability to win more political offices, on the local, state, and federal level, than ever before. On all levels, the Democrats know they cannot win without the Black vote, with a special emphasis on the Black women vote. This is a reality in the Democratic Party, but the leadership refuses to direct resources and funding to the Black media, when educating the grassroots.

In one of the greatest countries in the world, Americans are always getting confused and mixed up with semantics. It is very easy to justify a behavior or a system, when the words identify something else, instead of something that is happening right now.
