In recent days, our community has experienced an increase in positive cases for COVID-19 combined with an increase in hospitalizations. To protect yourself and others, I urge you to please continue wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Consistent with Order 20-20 issued by Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez on April 9, it is a requirement to wear masks while indoors at business establishments and outdoors when people cannot practice social distancing. As a reminder, Hurricane Season has already started and runs through November 30. With the presence of COVID-19, this hurricane season will be different than any other we have previously experienced. The moment is now to make proper plans and be fully stocked on supplies should we face the threat of a hurricane.
