Should America Support One Big Lie or A Series of Small Ones?
Lying in America has become a pastime for politicians and lawyers, and Ex-President Trump has made it a career choice, and he makes millions of dollars. It has never been a lucrative way for an Ex-President to pay his Lawyer bills, but it is working for Trump. It is unprecedented in the history of America, and Trump is getting ready to run for president for the third time.
The amazing thing about this campaign is that Trump is using a “Big Lie” that the election was stolen from him. Even though this is a baseless claim a large percentage of Republicans support Trump, because they think the election was corrupt. As Trump clams he is a victim, he thinks he is correct in wanting revenge on everyone that stole the election from him.
Very few Americans can remember that during Ex-President Trump time in office he lied every day, and thirty to forty percent of Republicans believed him. So when Ex-congressman George Santos become a “Trump mini me,” it worked for him. During his campaign, Santos was busy lying, and he won the election.
As soon as ex-congressman Santos got into office, it was revealed that almost everything he said was not the truth. A brutal report from the House Ethics Committee is accusing him of defrauding donors and enriching himself with his campaign. Santos is also facing a slew of federal charges, including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds, and lying to Congress.
Santos lied about where he went to high school and college. He was no star on Baruch College volleyball team, and he never worked on Wall Street. It is very difficult to track down what he did to make money, because he did put $700,000 in his campaign.
Santos lied to his donors, and for a short time in Florida, he worked in an investment firm, and made $120,000- yearly. George Santos’s career in politics has come to an end. But, Santos has pleaded not-guilty, and the questions are, Is he broke or rich? Is he Jewish of Catholic? Did family members really die in the Holocaust or September 11?
As a compulsive liar, it appears that Republicans will accept Trump with one Big lie, as opposed to a series of small ones. Santos is only the sixth US House of Representative member to be expelled from Congress.
With all this confusion, the Republicans must make a decision if Trump is a criminal, and should not be allowed to run as president again. It does not matter if the lie is a big one, or a series of small ones. A compulsive liar is a danger to our Democracy, and a criminal should not be allowed to run for one of the largest office in the country.
Trump is well aware that he lost the election, and Santos knows that the majority of stories out of his mouth were lies and fabrications. Trump’s team hired two outside consulting firms that investigated claims of election fraud, and no evidence was found.
Trump lied and Santos lied, and it is time to stop playing games with criminals that have no legal defense for breaking the law. It does not matter if the lying is small or big, the criminals should go to jail.
Santos broke the law and he is aware he broke the law. Trump broke the law, and he is aware he broke the law. They both should be in jail.
