Jamaican Tourism Specialists Honored For Contributions to Antigua and Barbuda

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Two Jamaican tourism marketing specialists have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to the development of tourism in Antigua and Barbuda.

noelmogNoel Mignon Founding Partner of PMGroupNoel Mignott, formerly the deputy director of tourism for the Jamaica Tourist Board and current president of the PM Marketing Group in New York, along with Alison Ross, formerly senior vice-president of the PM Marketing Group, were both presented with excellence awards. The awards, recognizing their long-standing commitment to promoting Antigua and Barbuda, were bestowed by Charles Fernandez, minister of tourism, civil aviation, and investment.

The ceremony, which took place recently, honored travel professionals, media partners, and community leaders who have played pivotal roles in the destination’s growth and success. During the presentation, Minister Fernandez highlighted the invaluable work of the honorees, stating, “Our success is driven by the passion, dedication, and hard work of these professionals who consistently go above and beyond in advocating for Antigua and Barbuda.”

In response to receiving the award, Mignott expressed his gratitude, telling The Sunday Gleaner, “It has been an honor, privilege, and joy for Alison, me, and the PM Group team to represent Antigua and Barbuda for nearly two decades. Both Mignott and Ross have had significant careers in the tourism sector, contributing to Jamaica’s tourism growth in the 1990s and beyond. They are particularly credited with the creation of Jamaica’s iconic ‘One Love’ advertising campaign, which helped to solidify the island’s global appeal.
