Grenada Welcomes New Delta Airlines Flights From December

ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada – The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) says the introduction of a new daily non-stop service by Delta Airlines in December will strengthen the country’s positioning and ongoing efforts to expand airlift and connectivity with key international markets.

deltajtTourism Minister Adrian Thomas said that as the country gets ready to welcome the Delta Airlines’ flight from Atlanta this December, “we celebrate  a new era of connectivity and opportunity for Grenada’s tourism and business sector.

“This service enhances access to our beautiful island, making it even easier for travelers to experience our rich culture, warm hospitality, and stunning natural landscapes. We look forward to a successful partnership with Delta Airlines and the continued growth of our tourism industry,” Thomas said.

The GTA said that the airline will introduce the flight between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport, on December 20,this year.

“This strategic route strengthens Grenada’s positioning and ongoing efforts to expand airlift and connectivity with key international markets. This flight will provide travelers with increased accessibility and convenience to the tri island state,” the GTA said.

It said that from March 9, 2026, the flight schedule will be slightly adjusted and that Delta will operate the route using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“We are thrilled to welcome Delta Air Lines’ new daily service from Atlanta, which marks a significant milestone in our efforts to enhance air connectivity to the island,” said GTA chief executive officer,  Petra Roach.

“Hartsfield Jackson is the busiest airport in the United States and connects over 104 million passengers to more than 200 destinations worldwide, offering seamless access to Grenada.

“Beyond convenience, this service deepens our ties with Atlanta’s diverse community, home to over 6.2 million people, including a thriving Grenadian diaspora and a vibrant African American population. By restoring this link, we are reaffirming relationships, expanding possibilities, and ensuring more travelers can experience the magic of Grenada,” she added.

The senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, Paul Baldoni, said with Grenada as its latest new destination, Delta is expanding its offering in the Eastern Caribbean this winter.

“Delta will be the only US carrier with nonstop service to Grenada from Atlanta, making travel to the island significantly easier for customers across the entire United States through Delta’s far-reaching domestic network.”
