Former Anguilla Tourism Head to Become New Grenada Tourism Authority CEO

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada — The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) has appointed seasoned Caribbean tourism executive Stacey Liburd as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 15.

She is credited with leading award-winning campaigns, expanding international airlift, and promoting sustainable tourism during her tenure in Anguilla.

Her appointment comes as Grenada looks to build on recent growth in tourism and increase its global market presence.

“I am deeply honored to accept the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority,” Liburd said. “Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique are destinations of extraordinary beauty, culture, and potential. I look forward to working closely with our industry partners to further elevate our brand, strengthen our presence in key markets, and ensure that tourism continues to bring meaningful, sustainable benefits to our people.”

Chairman of the GTA, Randall Dolland, said Liburd’s leadership and strategic expertise will help guide the authority through the next phase of its development.

“Her regional leadership experience and marketing expertise align perfectly with our goals of strengthening destination visibility, forging impactful partnerships, and enhancing the visitor experience,” he said.

Tourism Minister Adrian Thomas also welcomed Liburd’s appointment and expressed gratitude to outgoing CEO Petra Roach, who is set to take up a senior private sector role with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

“Her accomplishments within the tourism sector speak for themselves,” Thomas said of Liburd. “We believe her leadership will guide our industry into its next phase of innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.”

The minister added that Roach’s “exceptional contribution” during her tenure had elevated Grenada’s global profile, increased airlift and visitor numbers and “inspired confidence in our tourism future.”
