Caribbean Airlines Announces New Non-Stop Service Between Barbados, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and St. Lucia

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – Trinidad-based Caribbean Airlines is scheduled to begin flights in three Caribbean Countries later this month while increasing the number of flights in two other countries.

A statement from the airline said as of July 24 it will add new non-stop services between Barbados, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and St. Lucia.

Flights from Barbados to St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Grenada would move from three times a week to daily

The airline says it will begin flights from Barbados to St. Lucia four times a week – Monday , Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

It will begin to operate a once weekly flight from St. Lucia to St.  Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday.

Caribbean Airlines Chief Executive Officer Garvin Medera says the airline is excited to grow its regional connectivity plans.

“There continues to be a call for increased frequency and capacity between Caribbean destinations, and by adjusting our strategies and route network to connect these destinations, we can provide more sustainable travel options for our customers,” Medera said in a statement.

The airline has promised further expansion from August 23, with new services between Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda on Wednesdays and Sundays, and other flights from Trinidad to St. Vincent and Grenada.

It is also promising “more direct travel options” from Barbados to Ogle International Airport in Guyana.

THE statement further said “this expansion into the Eastern Caribbean further solidifies its growth trajectory”.
