T&T Names 92-Member Contingent For CARIFTA Games

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – The National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago (NAAATT) has named its second largest contingent ever to compete at the CARIFTA Games, scheduled to be held next month in Grenada.

They are scheduled to depart for the premier track and field youth event on April 2 and return on April 7.

Among those expected to play key roles for T&T at this year’s Games are defending decathlon and heptathlon gold medallists Tyrique and Tenique Vincent, along with Under-17 girls’ middle-distance standout Oshea Cummings.

Alexxe Henry, currently ranked among the top three in the world in the Under-20 girls’ 100m, is also expected to be among the leading contenders in that event.

Jaydon Goodridge, who is presently ranked among the top three globally in the Under-18 boys’ 400m, will also be one to watch, while rising star Eden Chee Wah will be aiming to make her mark in the Under-17 girls’ 200m.
