UNITED NATIONS – The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Wednesday adopted a resolution in “solidarity with and support for the Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as neighboring countries affected by the impact of the eruptions of the La Soufriere volcano”

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent,– The United Nations, on Tuesday, launched a US$29.2 million global funding appeal, aimed at raising funds needed to help St. Vincent and the Grenadines meet its immediate needs after the April 9 eruption of La Soufriere volcano.

BRADES, Montserrat,– The government of this small British overseas territory that was devastated by volcanic eruptions 26 years ago, is exploring what humanitarian, technical and/or in-kind contributions it can give to St. Vincent and the Grenadines where the La Soufriere volcano erupted on Friday.
