UNICEF Pleads For Assistance As Haiti Braces For Hurricane Season

PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti – The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) has launched an appeal to help Haiti deal with the upcoming weather situation over the next few months, as the French-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country struggles to deal with the gang violence that has pushed thousands of children and their families into poverty.

UN Humanitarians Report Aid Breakthrough For Haiti

PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti – United Nations humanitarians say they have finally been able to deliver truckloads of food to highly vulnerable people in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, after gang violence prevented access for more than two months.
