Venezuela Rejects ICJ Ruling on Pending Elections in Essequibo

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Guyana's government on Friday said it has taken note of the “unfortunate reaction” of the Venezuelan government to the order issued on Thursday by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that called on the South American country to refrain from conducting, or preparing to conduct elections, in Guyana’s Essequibo region.

CARICOM Chair Extends Congratulations to Canada’s Liberal Party Leader

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)  grouping, Mia Mottley has congratulated Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney following his victory in federal elections on Monday, following a campaign overshadowed by relentless provocations and steep trade tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.
