Vice Chairman Gilbert Appointed to Key Posts for Association of Counties in Florida and Across U.S.

MIAMI-DADE – At NACo’s 2021 Annual Business Meeting, held in Washington, D.C., from July 9-12, 2021, the National Association of Counties announced that Vice Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III has been appointed to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Health Steering Committee and Resilient Counties Advisory Board Committee.

OLIVGILBERTOn Friday, July 2, 2021, during its annual conference held in Orlando, Vice Chairman Gilbert also was appointed to the Florida Association of Counties Board of Directors.

By serving on these committees, Vice Chairman Gilbert will help guide policy decisions through the next fiscal year.

The 2021 Annual Conference was the first large gathering of NACo members since early 2020, when county officials gathered in Washington, D.C., for the Legislative Conference, just ahead of the big shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Association of Counties (NACo) strengthens America's counties, serving nearly 40,000 county elected officials and 3.6 million county employees. Founded in 1935, NACo unites county officials to enrich the public's understanding of county government.
