Steve Bovo Dominates in First Spanish Mayoral Forum

Miami, FL – The first Miami-Dade Mayoral Candidate Forum was held on January 14, 2020, at the Calle 8 Inter American Chamber of Commerce in Little Havana.  Esteban “Steve” Bovo was amongst the 7 candidates running for Mayor of Miami-Dade County.

“I’m running for Mayor of Miami-Dade County because I am sick and tired of the taxpayer being an afterthought in our county. Business as usual at County hall can’t continue for Miami-Dade to flourish and our citizens to have the quality of life they deserve.  My candidacy is based on conservative principles to protect taxpayer dollars, ensure transparency, fairness, and fiscal responsibility.  Make no mistake, my administration will not serve the interests of the extreme elite that are looking to profit, once again, from the county and, in the process, grow Miami-Dade government on the back of its taxpayers.

We cannot afford to go back to the days when Miami-Dade was a national laughing stock because of the ramped corruption that existed in our county. The days when a select few used their access to County Hall to enrich themselves at the expense of Miami-Dade County’s residents. In short, cronyism and corruption will be replaced by transparency and accountability.

I’m very aware that this is not an easy endeavor. We are disrupting the interests of some bottomless pockets with radical agendas. However, I do not doubt that this is the correct course for the future of our county to be truly prosperous for its residents.”
