They said that Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, and who was made a National Hero on November 30, 2021, during the ceremony marking Barbados’ transition to a parliamentary republic, was at home at the time. She was not injured.
Captain Mike Bland told reporters the weapon used was an AR-15-style rifle and assault rifle casings were found at the scene.
Aerial footage after the attack showed bullet holes in a gate at the sprawling property, which Rihanna shares with rapper A$AP Rocky and their three children.
Last September, the 37-year-old star, who has launched multiple businesses, including her popular makeup range Fenty Beauty and a lingerie company, gave birth to her third child, a girl, with partner A$AP Rocky.
The couple also share two sons Riot and RZA. Forbes has estimated Rihanna’s worth at over a billion US dollars.
