Guyana Mourns Death of Veteran Politician Amna Ally
GEORGETOWN, Guyana – One of the country’s Veteran politicians and former General Secretary of the opposition People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Amna Ally, died on Saturday.
Ally who was 69 years died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation .
The veteran politician was suffering from a heart ailment and Chronic Kidney Disease.
At the time of her passing at the Georgetown Public Hospital, she was on dialysis.
Several months ago, she resigned from the PNCR after becoming politically inactive more than three years ago after Joseph Harmon lost the party’s leadership race.
She, however, enjoyed close relations with several others especially those who were picked as PNCR parliamentarians following the 2020 general and regional elections.
