Barbara Gloudon, Veteran Journalist and Playwright, Dies at 87

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Veteran journalist and playwright, Barbara Gloudon died in hospital on Wednesday night, a few days after her 89-year-old husband, Ancile Gloudon passed away.

For decades Gloudon was the scribe behind the Little Theatre Movement’s annual pantomime.

She’s also a former features editor at The Gleaner and hosted Radio Jamaica’s talk-show, ‘Hotline’ from the late 1980s until her departure in 2015.  She was a former Jamaica Observer columnist.

Gloudon’s husband, a former actor, food technologist, orchid enthusiast, died on April 30th.
