PAHO Warns Many in Region at Risk of Developing Long COVID

WASHINGTON, DC – As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the Americas, with new infections increasing by 13.9 percent from last week, Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Director, Dr. Carissa Etienne on Wednesday called for countries to prepare their health systems to address the long-term impact of post-COVID condition, commonly known as long COVID, which may impact many in the region.

Dominica Considering Removal of Mandatory Mask Wearing

ROSEAU, Dominica – Dominica is exp0loring the possibility of removing the mandatory wearing of mask to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed 68 people and infected 14, 852 since the first case was detected in March 2020.
