Open Registration is Underway for the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center 2023 Summer Arts Conservatory

Miami, FL – The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is currently registering students for its 2023 Summer Arts Conservatory. This year’s Summer Arts Conservatory presents something old and something new in opportunities for multi-arts learning. AHCAC continues to teach and nurture the next generation of accomplished artists in writing, acting, dancing, music, singing, stage management, and visual arts. Children ages 5-16 can choose from any of these traditional art forms.

TUITIodNew this year will be the art of cinematography inspired by Center Alum, Tarell McCraney, an acclaimed writer who penciled the Academy award winning MOONLIGHT and Michael B. Jordan and Oprah Winfrey executive produced drama series, DAVID MAKES MAN.

Also new this year is Instrumental Start which will provide selected Center students ages five to ten with their own musical instruments. Studies show that children who engage with musical instruments demonstrate increases in academic, creative, and social skills. As they discover melody, harmony, and rhythm, children will establish neural connections. By placing instruments into the hands of young children, Instrumental Start at AHCAC aims to meet that goal.

Another new initiative being introduced at AHCAC’s Summer Conservatory is Village Talk. The goal of Village Talk is for children ages 5-16 in the multi-arts at AHCAC to gain encouragement/inspiration; to see their possibilities. Invited speakers who've reached acclaim can share their journey in-person or virtually with our children at the Center.
