MIAMI  —Partnering with two leading hunger relief organizations, Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will host separate events on Tuesday, April 21 to help feed the community’s families during the coronavirus pandemic.

In partnership with Farm Share, a food distribution event will take place on Tuesday, April 21 beginning at 9 a.m. at Homestead Air Reserve Park, 27401 SW 127th Avenue, in Homestead.

Also on Tuesday, Miami-Dade Parks will again partner with Feeding South Florida on an additional food distribution at Tropical Park (7900 SW 40th St., Miami, FL 33155) starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m., and then every Tuesday, until further notice. Approaching drivers are asked to use the Bird Road entrance.

Both events are organized on a drive-through, first-come, first-served basis. Residents are required to wear masks, stay in their vehicles, and open their trunks when it’s their turn in line to receive the food.
