The artwork on both covers of our magazines is reflective of the advocacy we support protecting the civil rights of Black citizens and encouraging them to change our unequal circumstances by heading to the polls.”

This year’s special editions include original elections-themed covers from noted artists Leroy Campbell and Charly Palmer. Leroy Campbell’s “Voting Together,” adorns the cover of Legacy Miami. Campbell’s offering seeks to evoke action and depict multi-generations of people exercising their right to vote. Conversely, Legacy South Florida sports Charly Palmer’s “I Am A  Man, Brave.” The piece is Palmer’s artistic interpretation of Black men holding placards declaring, “I Am a Man.” Many readers may recall seeing this imagery from pictures of the 1968 Memphis Sanitation Workers strike. Both works encourage both readers and residents to research the issues, vet the candidates, and to exercise their hard-fought right to vote.

The issues also feature content, updates, questions, and responses from candidates vying for various elected positions serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Readers can also enjoy feature business trends, career success insights, and other content aimed at giving South Florida’s Black influencers and affluencers a competitive advantage in career, business, and industry.
