Jamaica’s New L.A. Consul

Joy Stephenson-Laws, a health attorney in California, has been appointed Jamaica’s new honorary consul in the city of LosAngeles, Califórnia,succeeds Lorna Johnson, who left the post in January.

joy Stephenson-Laws, who hails from Sherwood Content in Trelawny, emigrated to the U.S. more than 40 years ago, earned a bachelor of arts degree from Loma Linda University and a juris doctor from Loyola University. She is founding and managing partner of the healthcare industry litigation firm Stephenson, Acquisto &Colman.
