The City of Miramar Announces Bahamas Benefit Concert at the Amphitheather at Miramar Regional Park

MIRAMAR, FL – The City of Miramar will host a benefit concert to aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts for the islands of the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian, which devastated the region over a month ago. The Bahamas Benefit Concert will be held on Saturday, October 26th at the Amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park located at 16801 Miramar Parkway. The concert starts at 5:00 p.m., rain or shine.

miraThe event will be hosted by Chris Priester “The Teacher” and Larry Dog. Popular recording artists such as Maxi Priest, Kymani Marley, Jim Jones, Maffio, Ball Greezy, Zoey Dollaz, Baby Cham and many more will perform live at the event. General admission tickets cost $25 and VIP tickets are $75 per person. Tickets can be purchased and donations can be made at the Miramar Cultural Center Box Office, at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater Box Office or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Broward County Hurricane Dorian Fund and Food for the Poor.

City officials have been collecting food, water and other survival support essentials since the hurricane passed and this Benefit Concert is another joint effort to help the residents of the Bahamas get through this tough time. Rebuilding the islands will take a massive coordinated effort for many years to come.
