"Let It Be Done on Your Time" is dancehall artist Visionn's Latest Single

Raised in a tough Jamaican environment, Visionn is not shy about reflecting on his troubled past. Since releasing his first song five years ago, his music embraces the Word and redemption.

soisionnLet It Be Done On Your Time is the title of the dancehall artist's latest single, which he co-produced with Damian Vaz. Featuring dancehall diva D’Angel, it was released in early April.

Visionn describes it as a “freedom song”, partially inspired by his incarceration in the United States.

“Di message behind it is clearance. After incarceration for so many years, I asked di Father to let it be done. Release me!” he declared.

According to Visionn, it was his manager who suggested he do a collaboration with D’Angel, known for her flamboyant lifestyle and songs such as Good Good Gyal and Stronger. They agreed her popularity would help him reach a mainstream audience.

Visionn is from a tough community in the resort town of Negril, world-famous for its eight-mile, white sand beach. Moving with the wrong crowd after migrating to the United States got him in trouble with the law, resulting in him being imprisoned.

Once released, he pursued the music career that was put on hold. Let It Be Done On Your Time is the follow-up to Save Me, another inspirational track that came out in March.
