I-Octane Drops Highly Anticipated Album 'Dancehall Gift'

Although only 39 years-old, I-Octane is a music industry veteran who has been recording since 2000. He knows how important staying current is to an artist’s career.

daoctanceTo do that, the singer is always in the recording booth, making edgy music that appeals to new and longtime fans alike. On July 7, his sixth album Dancehall Gift was released.

It contains 10 songs and hears him working alongside several producers, some of whom he collaborated with on I Am Great, his previous album.

“It's very critical to stay fresh for the fans, plus keep coming with new styles so the fans dem can stay intrigued. It is important for artists to release singles a few times for the year to keep their brand active,” said I-Octane.

Speed Up di Process, Keep it Coming and Da Wine Deh are the songs released from Dancehall Gift to date. The album’s hardcore drive is a direct contrast to I Am Great which has a more mainstream feel.

Yet, several producers who contributed songs to his previous set did the same for Dancehall Gift. They include Conquer The Globe Productions, Seanizzle, Troyton Music and ZJ Liquid.

I-Octane burst out of the dancehall pack over 10 years ago with a series of hit songs including Mama You Alone, My Life, L.O.V.E.Y.O.U. and Hold Her in My Arms.

Dancehall Gift culminates a hectic 12 months for the dreadlocked artist. In addition to I Am Great, 2022 saw him releasing collaborations with Inner Circle (Chocolate) and Rygin King (Paranoid).
