colin ILColin “Iley Dread” LevyScheduled for May 10-12 in Toronto, Pickering and North York, Wonderful Vibrations features acts such as Luciano, Turbulence, Lieutenant Stitchie, Singing Melody, Thriller U, Richie Stephens, Norris Man, Glen Washington, Natty King and Professor Nuts.

The Mother's Day shows are a comeback for Iley Dread, who has been off the music scene for five years. They will be followed by the Curry Festival in June, Unite The People Extravaganza and Reggae 55th Award Celebration in August, Thanksgiving 2024 Celebration in October, culminating with Dancehall Nice Again and Phenomenal Vibes in November.

Wonderful Vibrations is special  because Iley Dread's mother had a significant impact on his music career.

“My mother is the biggest inspiration in my life. I am inspired by her love for humanity. Mothers are the greatest gift to mankind. Even though I am celebrating these three days dedicated to mothers, every day is Mother’s Day for me. My mother is very influential from birth until now. She is a songstress and her voice is what attracted my dad. My mom was promised a recording contract and music career by my dad which didn’t come to fruition. My mom is my number one female vocalist that inspired me to sing and write music," he said.

Mama Prayer, the first single from his upcoming gospel album, is also inspired by his mother who suffered a nervous breakdown over 40 years ago. She lives in a nursing home in Kingston.

Iley Dread has lived in Canada for 34 years. In 1995, he started Kings Of Kings Productions which was a dominant force for many years.
