7th Chelsea Film Festival is Back in NYC

NEW YORK, NY – The Chelsea Film Festival is back for a 7th edition in New York, from October 17th to 20th 2019. The four-day international film festival showcases the work of emerging filmmakers, producers and actors from around the world with screenings of independent shorts, feature-length films and documentaries.

chelsea filmFounded by the talented Ingrid & Sonia Jean-Baptiste, both originally from Martinique, this film industry duo’s main goal is to discover new talents and broaden the reach of independent film makers around the world.

The 7th annual Chelsea Film Festival proudly presents for the fourth year in a row the ‘FRENCH CARIBBEAN Program’ scheduled at AMC Loews at 34th Street in New York City on Friday, October 18th at 6:30 pm.

The French Caribbean Program will be followed by Q&A with the filmmakers.

This year, the festival will feature 100 films (short & feature films) from 21 countries including the U.S., UK, Germany, South Africa, Philippines, Israel, Turkey and India. Among the 3 directors from Martinique listed in the French Caribbean Program, Nicolas Polixene won the 2016 Chelsea Film Festival “Petit Prix” award with his moving short Papé.
