Neuropsychology Expert Dr. Joy Vaughan to Help Women Bounce Back

Miami, FL. - Armed with real-life strategies for women recovering from painful setbacks, Dr. Joy Vaughan will bring her amazing expertise to help elevate an intimate gathering of women influencers at the kick-off of the 2019 WOMEN’S POWER CAUCUS on the afternoon of Friday, July 19th. The open forum takes place at the Hilton Miami immediately after the Quiet Storm Awards Reception and Networking Experience that opens at 5:30pm.

Dr J VaughnDr. Joy VaughanDr. Vaughan brings a unique and diverse set of educational, practical and professional experiences to the issues that often negatively impact women at some point in their lives and careers. She is a former professor at Florida International University and Broward College and a certified life and transitional coach, specializing in cognitive assessment and emotional retraining. As an occupational therapist, she has developed innovative programs, online seminars, and literature for adults and children. Joining her on the panel is Daniela Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Commissioner, Dist. 8 and candidate for Miami-Dade Mayor. 

Dr. Vaughan is a native of Barbados, West Indies and a graduate of Centenary College New Jersey and Columbia University in New York with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, a master's degree and special education/neuropsychology, and her doctorate in education and brain base behavior. She is the author of “Powerful People, Powerful Lives” and the “Seven Steps and Empowerment series for the secular and Christian souls. Her next book is titled, Art of Resiliency, Phoenix rising.
