Fort Lauderdale, Florida ― Broward Health welcomes Alisa Bert as vice president of financial operations. In her new role, Bert will provide strategic leadership and system-wide oversight of the daily operations of general accounting, financial planning, and patient billing services, including third-party reimbursements, financial and statistical reporting functions.
Prior to joining Broward Health, Bert served as chief financial officer at Mercy Hospital in Miami, where she used her strong financial officer and hospital operational knowledge to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the hospital. She has also served as chief financial officer at HCA Aventura Hospital and Medical Center.
Bert earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, and her master of business administration with concentration in accounting from Florida Atlantic University. She is also a certified Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt.
