OAS Pays Tribute to Marcus Mosiah Garvey

WASHINGTON, DC - Jamaica's Ambassador to the United States and Permanent representative to the Organization of American Her Excellency Audrey Marks, on Monday joined the OAS in paying tribute to Jamaica's First National Hero, the Right Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey, on the occasion of the 7th Inter-American Week for People of African Descent.

Canada Strengthens Maritime Law Enforcement in the Caribbean

Kingston, Jamaica, April 9, 2024 - Law enforcement agencies from across the Caribbean have completed a highly successful Maritime Border Integrity Course, culminating in enhanced capabilities and strengthened partnerships in the fight against maritime crime. 21 officers, including 18 law enforcement officers from Jamaica Constabulary Force SWAT (special weapons and tactics) team, two participants from the Barbados Coast Guard, and one participant from the Guyana Customs and Anti-Narcotic Unit have successfully completed the rigorous training programme.
