Jamaica Pegasus Launches ‘Intimate I Do’s’ – Wedding Packages in the Time of COVID-19

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Pegasus announced today the launch of Intimate I Do’s, new wedding packages specially designed for couples to tie the knot safely in the time of COVID-19. Under terms of the new packages, wedding parties are limited to a total of 10 participants. Ceremonies can extend for a maximum of two hours, with loving couples joined at the hip at an outdoor setting within the lush Jamaica Pegasus gardens before retiring to one of the hotel’s small indoor banquet rooms for the reception.

Jamaica Prepares For June 15 Reopening to International Travelers and Announces New Safety Protocols

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Jamaica has announced it will reopen its borders for international travelers on June 15.  The country is currently repatriating 8,000 Jamaican nationals who have been stranded overseas due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions. Additionally, an extensive set of operational protocols were announced, including health screening before entry and upon entry, which will be implemented to manage risks to workers, communities and travelers.  From planning the trip to enjoying the destination, the protocols address all stages of the visitors journey, incorporating the lifecycle of prevention, detection and response.

CASTRIES, St. Lucia – The governments of St. Lucia and Antigua and Barbuda plan to re-open their borders this month after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) shut down the Caribbean nations’ international travel industry.

Bahamas Preparing to Resume International Tourism on July 1 with New Health & Safety Protocols in Place

NASSAU, Bahamas, – The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation, along with the Tourism Readiness and Recovery Committee, a group comprised of public and private sector partners, announced today a collaborative plan for re-opening the country’s borders and tourism sector, as well as the resumption of international commercial travel starting July 1. A press conference provided details of the “Tourism Readiness and Recovery Plan” to be used as an approved, comprehensive guide of health and safety protocol to be followed consistently across the country.
