Jamaica Continues to Welcome Visitors as It Extends Phase I of Reopening Through July

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Jamaica has announced revised measures for international travelers visiting the island as of July 15. All visitors will still be required to complete an online Travel Authorization. Travelers from Arizona, Florida, New York, and Texas (areas declared by the Ministry of Health and Wellness as high risk at this time), will be required to upload negative COVID-19 PCR test results. Tests should be no more than ten (10) days old measured from the day the sample was taken to the day of arrival in Jamaica.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados  –  Tourism in the Caribbean will have a different look going forward as the region tries to bounce back from the effects of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to industry sources.

Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation Statement on Border Closure to The United States Due to COVID-19

NASSAU, Bahamas,  – Due to the continued increase in COVID-19 cases in the United States, as well as an uptick in cases in The Bahamas, Prime Minister, The Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis, has made the difficult decision to close borders to international commercial flights and commercial vessels carrying passengers from the United States. The order is effective as of Wednesday, July 22 at midnight. In addition, Bahamasair will cease outgoing flights to the United States, effective immediately.

E.U. Travel Ban May Affect Caribbean Nationals in U.S.

Caribbean nationals in the United States eager to travel overseas to shake off prolonged confinement caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but not sure if they want to immediately return to the region, just had their option of destinations reduced.
