Bequia Airport Reopens Eight Weeks After the Passing of Hurricane Beryl

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent –  The JF Mitchell Airport in Bequia, which has been closed since July 1 following the passing of Hurricane Beryl, is slated to reopen on Monday, August 26. Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves provided this update to Parliament on Thursday, outlining the challenges and efforts that have delayed the airport’s reopening.

US and Dominican Republic Sign Open Skies Agreement

SANTO DOMINGO, DR – The United States Department of State on Friday said its Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez and Dominican Republic’s Minister of Tourism David Collado signed an Open Skies Agreement at the National Palace here to advance both countries’ bilateral aviation cooperation.
