MIAMI  — A new $5.4 million aquatic complex is set to open at South Dade Park, located at 28151 SW 164 Ave., Miami. The facility features a new multipurpose competitive/recreational swimming pool with zero-depth entry, eight 25-yard lap lanes and a water slide tower plus remodeled pool buildings.

On Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, there was a showcase of talent, storytellers, Poets, Dancers, Drummers, Singers, Actors and Actresses. MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Miami-Dade County Commissioners Barbara J. Jordan and Esteban Bovo, Jr. presented a commendation to bus operator Elijah Saleem for saving a family of three from drowning after the family’s car plunged into a canal on Feb. 18. The commendation took place at the Board of County Commissioners’ March 5 meeting.
