Mayor Daniella Levine Cava Announced New Relief for Residential Landlords and Tenants Impacted by The COVID-19 Pandemic

MIAMI  —Today, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced new relief to support residential landlords and tenants impacted by the pandemic. During a press conference with Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, business owners including United Property Management, and tenants and landlords’ rights groups including Miami Homes for All and Haitian Neighborhood Association, the Mayor proposed a program to distribute $60 million in new federal relief dollars to struggling landlords and tenants – beginning with landlords who have writs of eviction filed and tenants facing eviction.

New Beach Park Opening Soon in Jamaica!

Kingston, Jamaica: – The Urban Development Corporation is pleased to announce that Harmony Beach Park is the new name for its flagship project in Montego Bay. Harmony Beach Park emerged as the winning submission for the Corporation’s ‘Name the Park’ competition, which ran for three weeks in August 2020. Over 250 entries were received via the competition website, social media platforms, and through drop-off boxes. The Corporation congratulates Mr Kevon McIntosh who has copped the top prize courtesy the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF). Harmony Beach Park, a free access, public beach facility will be opened to the public within the next few weeks.
