The music magic of Trinidadian trumpeter Etienne Charles and his band Creole Soul will take center stage at the Miramar Cultural Center on Saturday, September 21 at 8:00 pm. His concerts easily and usually morph into a carnival celebration with the audience on their feet, singing and dancing.

“The Harder They Come”, an iconic movie made decades ago in Jamaica, by Jamaicans and featuring Jamaican cast and crew, was revived last month in the United States.

The Other Side of Now: Foresight in Contemporary Caribbean Art curated by Maria Elena Ortiz, Associate Curator at Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), and Dr. Marsha Pearce, Cultural Studies Scholar based at The University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus, opened at PAMM on Thursday July 18.

Bailey Contemporary Arts explores the culture of Caribbean food preparation with their new exhibition from the Caribbean Culinary Museum. This touring collection, which explores food culture, features an array of historic culinary artifacts from around the Caribbean region.  The collection will be on view from September 6 through October 25.
