DJ Paradise’s Latest Album is 'Global World Peace'
As the son of Jamaican parents, DJ Paradise embraced the culture of his family’s homeland early in life. Dancehall and reggae had a major impact on his decision to pursue a music career.
DJ ParadiseInitially a musician, audio engineer and artist, he moved into music production two years ago and has released several songs including Very Royal, a reggae number by Jah Clarity, a Jamaican singjay. DJ Paradise’s latest production is the Global World Peace album, which was released on September 1.
He describes the 12-song set as a spiritual project featuring veteran acts such as Little Roy, and contemporary roots artistes like Sizzla and Queen Ifrica, as well as Sista Zeal and Shayhil.
The first songs released from Global World Peace album are Queen Ifrica’s Everyone Wants Love and Little Roy’s Fight For Jah Love, which came out on August 1 to celebrate Emancipation Day in Jamaica. Eight days later, to mark International Day of the World’s Indigenous People came We Survive by Jah Tiff, Mitsy June’s World Peace, Peace In The World by Sista Zeal and Jamaica Warning by Jah Clarity.
September 19 saw the release of World Ah Cry featuring Ras Strika and Tasha Love. That track commemorated the end of World War II in 1945.
“I had a vision in mind as to how I wanted the album to be, so I carefully handpicked each artist which I think had that messenger element to their personality, due to this album being a really spiritual album and something I wanted to affect the world in a positive way,” explained DJ Paradise, who was recently in Jamaica promoting Global World Peace Album.
Released last year, Very Royal is DJ Paradise’s most popular production to date. He released a subsequent electronic version of the song as DJ Paradise Musical Genius.
