Chairwoman Edmonson Continues to Feed Families

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson teamed up once again with Feeding South Florida to feed over 750 families at a drive-through free food distribution on June 27 at the Joseph Caleb Center.

feedcar feedResidents financially impacted by the COVID-19 state of emergency drove through the center’s parking lot with their trunks popped open to receive milk, canned goods, rice, beans and fresh produce, as well as face masks. Food also was distributed to homebound residents in the community.

Chairwoman Edmonson and her staff were joined in the distribution effort by volunteers from a variety of organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha, the Circle of Brotherhood and the Liberty Square Resident Council.

Feeding South Florida is a Feeding America food bank and the largest in the state.
