Book of Condolences to be Opened in Honour of Ambassador Johnson at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington

WASHINGTON DC,  - A Book of Condolences in honour of former Ambassador of Jamaica to Washington D.C, Anthony Johnson, will be opened for public signature at the Embassy of Jamaica, 1520 New Hampshire Avenue, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Tuesday the 25th and Wednesday the 26th May 2021.

Ambassador the Hon Anthony Johnson, OJ, former Member of Parliament and father of Senator the Hon.Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, passed away on April 28, 2021.

He served as Jamaica’s chief envoy to the United States and representative to the Organization of American States from 2008 to 2010, when he was appointed Jamaica’s High Commissioner to London.

The Late Ambassador Johnson will be accorded an Official Memorial Service, which will be held on Thursday, 27th May 2021.
