MIAMI —Today the Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners approved the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). This $10 million program is intended to help families who are having problems paying their rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will provide a one-time benefit to assist with their rent.
MIAMI —To help provide relief for Miami-Dade County’s pet owners and help them feed their furry family members during the COVID-19 pandemic, Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department will host its sixth Drive-Thru Pet Food Bank on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (or while supplies last), at Larry & Penny Thompson Park, located at 12451 SW 184th Street, Miami, FL, 33177. The dog and cat food distribution is made possible through a grant from the Petco Foundation as part of their Pledge to Save Pet Lives during the COVID-19 crisis.
Piarco, Trinidad & Tobago,: Caribbean Airlines has re-started commercial operations from its Jamaica hub into the USA and Canada. Daily flights to/from Kingston and New York resumed on July 6, with a further roll out of non-stop services to Toronto and Miami scheduled during the week.
