Jamaica Tourist Board’s Dian Holland business development manager for Arizona, Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming (pictured top right), was on hand to welcome the Jamaica Synchro Stars synchronized swimming team to California.

The team journeyed to California to compete against 150 athletes, including the top-ranked team in the United States, Santa Clara’s Aquamids in this year’s Central California Association and Pacific Association Intermediate Championships and Seaside Novice/Age Group Invitational.

Team members (left to right) Joley Campbell, Bianca Cisneros-Wynter, Ackeem West, Alexandria Chin, competed in the 13 – 15 age group and got a taste of the newly implemented three-part scoring system, to be used at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. They were accompanied by Head Coach Carrie Reynolds (pictured bottom right).

Jamaica’s Synchro Stars were a hit in California recently where they participated in this year’s Central California Association and Pacific Association Intermediate Championships and Seaside Novice/Age Group Invitational. T’Neil Gooden, Mia-Elissabeth Lawrence and Amore Hunter showed their Jamaica pride ahead of the competition.
