MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota United welcomed Real Salt Lake to TCF Bank Stadium on a toasty Saturday night for the start of a three-game homestand that will ultimately go a long way to determining whether the team will be able to make its way above the red line and into the playoffs. To that end, they got off to a good start, taking all three points in a win that nonetheless had them sweating down the stretch as Real Salt Lake scored two late to make it 3-2.

Piscataway, NJ - The NC Courage (14W-1L-3D, 45 pts.) dispatched Sky Blue FC (0W-12L-3D, 3 pts.) 4-0 at Yurcak Field on Saturday night to extend their league lead in the standings. Lynn Williams recorded a second-half hat-trick after a first-half goal by Abby Erceg. Kristen Hamilton recorded two assists and Debinha added one of her own. Katelyn Rowland was exceptional between the posts, recording her fourth clean sheet of the season.

West Indies women’s team captain, Jamaican Stafanie Taylor, has been named the region’s female “Cricketer-of-the-Year”.

Shahid Afridi is returning to the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to play for the Jamaica Tallawahs. He has played at the Hero CPL before, with the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in 2015. This year he will join the likes of Andre Russell, Ross Taylor and Rovman Powell with the Jamaican Franchise.
