The Little Haiti Optimist Club’s--Little Haiti Patriots Super Pee Wee football team will play their first home game against the Little River Saints on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School located at 4949 NE 2nd Avenue.

Little Haiti Patriots are 4 and 5 year olds from the Little Haiti and neighboring communities that will have their first experience playing football. Parents are excited to have football in their backyard. ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…“Youth football in Little Haiti is long overdue and thanks to Little Haiti Optimist Club, I am thrilled my son is part of history, said Rene Marie Maurice”.

Despite a strong effort in the second half, Miami FC suffered a 3-1 loss in the first-ever meeting between the Blues and AC St. Louis at Anheuser-Bush Soccer Park, closing out a three-game road trip.

“We weren’t good enough in the defensive end of the field tonight," said Head Coach Daryl Shore. "We have to keep going because mathematically, we aren’t out of this. It's not going to be easy, but we have to keep going."

Miami FC finishes its brief road trip this weekend with a match against AC St. Louis at Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EST.

The Blues will have an opportunity to draw even with St. Louis in the standings with an important victory before finishing the season with four of its next five games at home.

Miami FC travels to the Caribbean to face the Puerto Rico Islanders on Saturday, Aug. 7 at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in the final game of this summer road swing. The Blues are looking to make a push for the playoffs in the final two months of regular season play. The game is set for an 8:05 p.m. start time.
